It was a 13 hit party for the Bulldogs on Monday as they jumped out to a quick 6-0 lead and would cruise to a 9-2 victory.  Antonio Zapien dominated on the mound getting a complete game 69 pitch victory allowing just 7 hits and no earned runs.

Coach Deharo was extremely pleased with the performance of his team today.  "We had an awesome game today and quite frankly the guys have played really well the last couple of weeks staying in games and always competing," said Deharo.  "Antonio Zapien was phenomenal on the mound today.  His complete game with only 69 pitches says it all.  He was keeping the hitters off balance, keeping the ball down low and had good defense behind him."

One exceptional example of defense was a play by Alfonso Silveira-Marquez who covered an immense amount of ground in foul territory on the 3rd base side to make an out.

Coach Deharo mentioned the offense of Jordan Alvarado.  "He hit a ball into the gap of left center in the 2nd to have a bases clearing double to put us up 6-0 at that point early in the game."

The positive game vibes of the JV will be put on ice for awhile as they will have no further games this week since some revised scheduling came out.  They will return to action at home on the 20th vs Mountain House.

Amador Valley and Tracy played a tight game for 9 innings limiting the errors and providing good pitching on both sides.  Tracy would have to come from two runs down late to scrape a run in the 6th and a crucial game saving run in the 7th to take the game to extra innings.  After the 9th the game was called due to fading light.

Tracy got solid pitching on the day from Logan Contreras with his 8 strikeouts and just 4 hits allowed.  Antonio Zapien was also good in relief for 3 innings allowing 1 run on 4 hits.

Anthony Crivello led all Bulldogs with 2 hits and a key Sac Bunt in the 7th to advance what would be the tying run to 3rd.  Rocco Tololi would drive in Jordan Alvarado a few moments later to tie up the game.

Manteca jumped out to a 4 run first and never looked back as they added on throughout the game to defeat the Bulldogs 11-4.  Crivello had a double and 2RBIs, Silveira Marquez was 2-3 with a run scored, and Rocha Lawler was 2-3.

JV will play on the varsity diamond Friday as they host Amador Valley.
