Coach Tomek's Road Notes:

"The Dawgs traveled to Stockton on Monday to take on the Lincoln Trojans. Our pitching struggled in the first and I put us in a hole just to deep to dig out of.  Hitters came out banging the ball all around but like I said I took the wind out of our sails."

"William Brandon did really well coming in and shutting them down for us to claw our way back. He ended up going 4 1/3 and gave up only two runs."

"Our offense wasn’t bad but every time we took a step forward and started a rally we’d make a crucial base running mistake and force us to start from scratch. Koa Maas had a big hit in the gap and Joc Jaden gave us some hustle hits."

"All in all this one is on me and we will look to even the series Wednesday at home."

Coaches Comments: 

"The offense stayed hot and scored in bunches just about every inning today," said Coach Tomek. "We worked counts got big time hits and did our job!  It ended up being 11-5 with six outs left in the game. It felt like we left off the gas a bit and didn’t score for the final two innings!  We committed a few silly mistakes that let the Rams back into the game. Koa Maas would enter the game to get the save for the Dawgs."

"Mason Sander had a big day at the plate just missing a big fly again by inches. The whole line up contributed and helped get this first win of the three game series."

"We have all the momentum and the “Boogieman” is gone. We have to play cleaner and we have to capitalize on ALL opportunities. I am extremely proud of these dudes. We competed start to finish and I'm excited for our home game this Wednesday! Let’s keep it rolling boys!"
